English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)
Parents are welcomed to join us for our monthly ELAC meetings with our ELIRT, Ms. Soto and our Community Liaison, Ana Tapia Mendoza. The meetings take part in Spanish and English. Elected members advocate to improve Rogers' English Learner Program. Let your voice be heard!

District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)
Parents are welcomed to join us for our monthly DELAC Meetings at the District Office. Our DELAC Committee is composed of Parent Leaders Advocating for our School District's English Learner Program. This is a public meeting for all district parents. Visit our events calendar for future meeting dates.
ELD Support Group
Wednesdays and Fridays during lunch
Participation is based on recommendations from teachers and staff to address specific learning needs on a case by case basis.
Newcomer Support Group
Wednesdays and Fridays, Period 2
This group is offered to all Newcomers to the country in our Middle School. Mondays students will work with Ms. Plascencia and Ms. Soto to receive small group targetted support with their academic English.
ELPAC Parent Night
Families of ELD students are welcomed to attend this educational parent night. Their State test takes place in February and we hope to inform parents of the resources available to ensure they pass the tests. Jane Addams and Rogers Middle School team up every year to provide information on the test. Parents of our ELAC Committee will be presenting in Spanish. Translation to English will be available.

Our school has purchased culture books that relate to the lives of our English learners and are ready to be checked out! There are many other languages available to read including Spanish, French, Farsi, Vietnamese and more.
