Anti-Bullying Program

We believe that all students should feel safe and comfortable at school everyday. The school-wide anti-bullying program aims to equip these caring students with skills to become a defender of peers facing bullying. The Bullying Circle illustrates the different roles in bullying incidents including the role of defender.

Rogers Anti-Bullying Rules

  1. We will not bully others.
  2. We will try to help students who are bullied.

The Anti-bullying program aims to prevent bullying at Rogers and provides students with problem solving skills to utilize during a bullying incident. Specifically, students learn;

1. Gain an understanding of the roles involved in bullying incidents
2. Build empathy for others
3. Learn skills that enable them to take action to help in a bullying situation
4. Learn the difference between conflict and bullying
5. Learn about the negative effects of bullying

The program lessons are taught both in health seminars during physical education and advisory classes.

Individual Anti-Bullying Guidance and Counseling

Throughout the school year, our counseling team prioritizes intervening to stop any bullying incidents. We provide individual guidance for both the target and the perpetrator of bullying. We work with parents to ensure issues are resolved and students remain safe and comfortable at school. We encourage students and families to always contact us for support with anything related to bullying.
