District and school staff, along with parent leaders, recently visited the LBUSD Center of Black Student Excellence. During the visit, they had the opportunity to explore the center’s programs and resources, observe best practices in action, and gather ideas for supporting student success in our own schools.

This February, Lawndale's Special Needs Family Support Group hosted its first public resource fair at our Kit-Carson campus. Families had the chance to learn about local resources from partner organizations, including Providence,  ADDAP, SALA International Women Organization, Department of Mental Health, WIC, Vista Community Clinic, Ball & Faith, Westsude Regional Center, Richstone Family Center, and the South Bay Center for Counseling.
